Juicing | Day 1 | mid-morning snack

For my mid-morning snack I juiced:

1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
1 lemon
6-8 kale leaves
2 apples
1" ginger (omitted because it's too much for my taste)


This produced a lot of juice...


Not all of it would fit in my 24 oz pretty cup.  I would guess there was at least an ounce, maybe more, left over.  I'm not likely to go back and drink the rest of it.


This is the Mean Green Juice and it is mean, and not very tasty at all.  As a matter of fact I'm having a hard time drinking it.  It is very bitter, and bitter is only good when you're talking about dark chocolate!

It probably isn't a good sign that I'm already daydreaming about kiwi-strawberry-guava juice only two juices into this fast.  Oiy.
