30 Day Writer's Challenge | Day 21

Rah! Rah! Ree...kick'em in the knee!
Rah! Rah! Rass...kick'em in the other knee!

NPR is preset number four on the stereo system in my trusty steed Kia. It's a frequent station, especial in the afternoon. I feel like I get at least some news throughout the day, even if it is riddled with commentary galore.

Today they were recapping a verbal slap fight between President Obama and Ohio Rep. and House Minority Leader John Boehner.

Be it known that I am not a fan of President Obama. As a matter of fact I have to force myself to actually type the word "president" before his name because it doesn't actually feel like he is the President of the United States. It's about respect though, so let it be known that if I ever hold a position as any form of president I would like to be addressed as such.

So while I let the news soak in this afternoon I got a little distracted, it is officially football season and southern college ball is known for some pretty out there fans and even more highly dedicated cheer squads. I guess that's why I was a little distracted while listening to the broadcast, with all the yelling and shouting and rival team banter all I could see in my mind was Obama wearing a cheer skirt and spanks while shaking his blue & white pom poms. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the picture of him with the bullhorn, isn't he just the ideal cheer captain?! Too bad he had a wardrobe malfunction. You would think his costume designer would know the unofficial Democratic team color is BLUE! He's sporting that RED Polo like he's a card carrying member of the Republican National Committee.

Wear it LOUD!
Wear it PROUD!
GO!
FIGHT!
WIN!

BTW: President Obama, I would feel better about some of the things you say (not really) if you weren't always trying to convince me that yours is bigger (whatever it is.) But again that's not really the point is it. Put down the pom poms and bullhorn (seriously!) and talk to us like we are your equal (oh yeah, we are!) No one likes to be yelled at, especially when WE didn't do anything wrong.

I'm thinking the next Presidential election needs a write in:
Harrison Ford perhaps?
He really rocked it in Air Force One.

I realize that my political views may not match those of my loyal readership. And that my dear friends is perfectly OK by me. That is what makes living in the United States of American so fabulous.

So please, learn from the link to the article on the President's weekly address. Laugh a little at my in sane attempts at humor. And by all means, share your political opinions on your own blog because this one is mine!

Love you all...thanks for reading! Can you believe this is day 21? I'm exhausted!

Between NPR and now that News Talk 750 is on FM, I don't listen to music anymore. I feel like I actually know about stuff that's going on!

Ooo ya! Harrison Ford! It makes sense. If California gets the Terminator, it's only fair that the country gets Han Solo/Indiana Jones!

Thanks for making me laugh so early in the morning cousin!
