Peaches | This aint no foodie blog!

Remember when I said I bought peaches at the Atlanta State Farmers Market? Tonight I washed, blanched, pealed, sliced and canned about a dozen of them. Here they are, fresh from the water bath:

I know, there is a lot of room/sugary water/syrup at the bottom. This is my first time, give me a break. I will put more peach slices in the remaining jars to conserve space and not waste jars.

I followed THESE instructions (and called my sister Anne a lot) in case you feel the itch.

I've just pulled out my last batch for today. 4 pints of tomato paste and 14 quarts of peaches. Good night peaches.

A good reference point when filling the jar is not to fill past the ring at the neck. Ü

Yum. I LOVE canned peaches! I may attempt it this fall myself...we'll see if I get brave enough. :)
